A Home Care Service That Seeks to Nurture Lasting Relationships!

According to the CDC, the majority of seniors can handle some or most of their ADLs (activities of daily living) relatively well. But when it comes to IADLs (instrumental activities of daily living), most need all the help they can get to accomplish most, if not all of these activities.

What are IADLs?

IADLs are everyday activities that, just like ADLs, are essential for independent living. While ADLs are more basic, IADLs are still crucial, but more complicated.

At Eliteservices Homecare, we find that the majority of long-term care admissions to aging and nursing facilities are actually a result of the inability to handle IADLs. This is understandable seeing that IADLs are more complicated when compared to ADLs. They are also more sensitive and, if entrusted to the wrong person, can expose seniors to a lot of danger.

However, with the right kind of in-home care for seniors and other individuals, struggling with IADLs doesn’t automatically have to translate into admission to a facility or institution.

Our non-medical home care services in Cumberland County, and its surroundings are specifically meant to enhance the independence of seniors and others who may require assistance with their IADLs for any reason.
